Hello I am Jimmy Belasco. I know My Purpose in life is to inspire people to re-connect with their love and their peace. I came to this “knowing” on October 17, 1997 during an experience I call “My Great Awakening!” I call it that because it was as if prior to the experience I was in a coma – and after it, my eyes were wide open! (Just for reference, the experience I am referring to here is NOT the “romp through Lucille Ball’s house”, which happened about 2 years prior to My Great Awakening experience. btw, the full details of these experiences will be given further down in the course of my journey) During the events of My Great Awakening I realized that I would someday play the role of the teacher. And because the greatest teachers in my life taught me from the actions of their own lives – I knew I wanted to teach from experiential knowledge - from my own life’s experiences. It was then that I willingly acknowledged and accepted my role as the student.
Little did I know at the time that I had just enrolled myself into an advanced level program at The University of Kick the Living @#%& Out of You and See if You Can Get Back Up. Apparently, they had a campus right here inDallasTexas. Luckily, prior to enrollment I had been given a few tools that when I applied them during the process of my “lessons” I was able to stay connected with my peace and my love. And when I was connected to my peace and my love, I masterfully worked my way through the situations and often turned them into amazingly wonderful outcomes.
Though I have had some great successes in my life, I have also had some great losses. I have lost everything – several times. So I also possess a great knowledge in The Art of Losing Every Thing & Gaining EVERYTHING. I gained EVERYTHING by learning how to stay connected with my peace and my love in the process of losing my material “things”. So, I can also say I have a pretty good understanding in The Art of Peace & Love.
I have learned that PEACE and LOVE are the greatest GIFTS we possess.
A person can have every worldly possession, but if they do not have peace and love in their life, their life has no worth.
I also happen to have a little knowledge in The Art of Inspiration. In the mid 90’s I met the person who created the very first soy wax formula. I saw SOY WAX as The Future of the Candle Industry. I became the pioneer marketer for this revolutionary, earth friendly product and introduced soy wax to the nation during the late 90’s and into the new millennium before any of the large national brands stopped laughing at me, took notice of the demand in the marketplace and followed suit. From the direct efforts of my team of people, we inspired millions of people to buy their very first soy wax candle, helped make SOY CANDLE a household name and spawned what is now more than a billion dollar portion of the multi-billion dollar candle industry. By 2005, at the height of my success, literally months after being featured in a 4 minute spot in the Prime Time slot on CNN’s News Night with Aaron Brown: ON THE RISE, as well as being featured on the front page of CNN.com for two days and receiving millions of hits on my company’s website – I LOST EVERYTHING – again! Damn, I am good!
It is from my greatest loses – that I received my greatest gains. Isn’t it funny how that works? And it is during these great times of loss that I was the student and I acquired the knowledge I would need some day to be the teacher.
When the student is ready, the teacher appears. When the teacher is ready, the student appears.
Though I will willingly continue to play the role of the student, I now know that the teacher in me is ready. As things sometimes “magically” work, My Purpose in the soy candle industry has become complete and I can now dedicate all of my energy into My Purpose in Life – helping others on their journey. I am beyond thrilled that I finally have the opportunity to share with others what I have learned to this point on my journey. I now give workshops and talks in which I share this knowledge.
I have developed what I call Jimmy’s Workshop, where you will leave with as much knowledge as I can dispense in a 3-4 hour workshop. You will also leave with your own personalized version of the tool, that I have used and honed for nearly 20 years now, which helped me stay connected with my peace and my love, and which also happens to be the tool that helped me create the circumstances for some of the most amazing periods of my life.
